Spinners
Shreyas Gopal (Rajasthan Royals)

Shreyas Gopal was one of the few positives for Rajasthan Royals in this season. The 25-year old showed immense promise, as he spun a web around the opposition's batsmen with his leg spin in the middle overs.
He also showed signs of brilliance in his handful opportunities with the willow, exhibiting calm and composure towards the end. Gopal was the highest wicket taker for RR, with 20 scalps in 14 games. His standout performance came in the last game, as he took a hat-trick against RCB, claiming the wickets of their top 3- Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Marcus Stoinis.
Imran Tahir (Chennai Super Kings)

Imran Tahir was the go-to man of MS Dhoni in the spin department, as he picked up wickets at regular intervals at a highly impressive economy of 6.70.
He exploited the conditions of Chepauk to perfection, as he managed to pick up big wickets from the oppositions, including the likes of Andre Russell, Rishabh Pant and Kane Williamson. The 40-year old proved that age is just a number, by picking up 26 wickets in 17 games, and claiming the Purple Cap Award for most number of wickets.
