#5 89 vs Sri Lanka, 2007

The 2007 tour of Sri Lanka really did not bode well for the Bangladesh Cricket Team, as two of their lowest-ever Test scores came into being during this period. This particular instance of woeful batting performance from the visitors came in the very first Test of the series, which Sri Lanka won by a margin of an innings and 234 runs.
This was a match where Muralitharan bowled at his very best, with a performance that was reminiscent to his most glorious days in international cricket. The wrist-spinner claimed nine dismissals in the Test, with five coming in the first innings, when Bangladesh could only manage a total of 87 in 162 minutes of play.
A 16-run stand for the ninth wicket between Rafique and Khaled Mushud mitigated the circumstances for Bangladesh for a little while, and it seemed like they might cross the 100-run mark in the innings.
However, this semblance of ultimately broken by Muralitharan, who dismissed Rafique for 11 to crush any psychological benefit that Bangladesh could've gained by a potential three-figure score.
