Ever since grabbing eyeballs with his scintillating bowling display as a relative unknown during IPL 2010, Ashwin has grown from strength to strength, and has established himself as India’s frontline spinner over the years. Under the tutelage of MS Dhoni, he bowled with the new ball for the Chennai Super Kings, and was hugely successful.
In the sixth year of his international cricket, Ashwin is currently ranked third in the ICC Test rankings, and fourth in the T20I rankings. He is an invaluable asset with the bat as well, owing to his unflappable temperament and sound technique. With four Test hundreds to his name already, Ashwin is establishing his reputation as an integral part of the lower middle order.
