#2 Sturdy middle order and depth in batting

ICC World Twenty20 India 2016:  India v Australia
Yuvraj Singh would be itching to make a statement to the national selectors

Along with their incredible top order, KXIP has been blessed with a sturdy and explosive middle order which consists of some of the future batting stalwarts of India. With some exciting youngsters and experienced warhorses filling in the middle order, KXIP has more than one reason to feel optimistic this season.

With the Karnataka trio of KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal, and Karun Nair in their bag, KXIP fans can rest assured that their middle order is in safe hands. While Nair is the only Indian to make a Test 300 barring Sehwag, Mayank Agarwal comes on the back of a blistering 2017 Ranji season where he scored more than 1000 runs and has been in red-hot form. Rahul might also have to settle at one down position if Gayle and Finch open.

Along with these, add the name of the legendary Yuvraj Singh. While Punjab fans are happy to see their icon player back in their side, this year's IPL might be the perfect opportunity for the southpaw to make a statement. Then there is the experienced workaholic Manoj Tiwary who has been around Indian Cricket circles for a while now.

Add to this the names of all-rounders Marcus Stonis and Axar Patel who are extremely handy batsmen in T20s and have the ability to clear the fence with ease. Even skipper Ashwin is an established batsman at the test level. Thus KXIP has a problem of plenty when it comes to choosing their middle order.
