The duo of Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav have done brilliantly for the Indian team in the last few years. While the pair has done well, India must not be over-dependent on the pair. Rahul Chahar is one of the spinners who can be a great back-up for the two.

The 19-year-old finished as the third-highest wicket-taker of the Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2018/19, with 20 wickets in nine matches. The leg-spinner played a pivotal part in the success of the Mumbai Indians in the IPL as he choked up the batsmen in the middle overs.

The youngster has been rewarded for his brilliant performances with a call-up in the T20I squad to face the West Indies. While he got an opportunity in the T20I, the leg-spinner has been overlooked for the ODI series. The ODI series against West Indies could have been a great opportunity to blood in a youngster like Chahar.
