#1 Mark Boucher (999 dismissals in 596 innings)
The definition of a proper wicketkeeper, Mark Boucher sits at the absolute pantheon of the greatest gloveman in the history of this beautiful game called Cricket.
The fastest to reach 100 dismissals and going with a record number of innings without conceding a bye, Boucher turned heads with his agile footwork and sensational reflexes behind the wickets.
In 466 matches that Boucher played for South Africa, ICC World XI and Africa XI, he accounted for a record 999 dismissals which include 953 catches and 46 stumpings with a colossal D/I ratio of 1.674.
He would have become the first wicketkeeper to effect 1000 dismissals but for an unfortunate injury prior to the 2012 tour of England that forced Boucher to retire from international cricket with immediate effect.
During the warm-up game, Boucher was hit by the bail on his eye when Imran Tahir knocked over Somerset batsman Gemaal Hussain.
