The Gabbar of Team India, Shikhar Dhawan, turned 32 today. Dhawan came into prominence in the 2003-04 Under-19 World Cup, where he was named the Player of the Tournament. He scored 505 runs with an attractive average of 84.16 with three centuries in that tournament. Despite such good performances, it took him almost six years to get his first international cap for India. Dhawan made his ODI debut against Australia in October 2010 at Vizag and in Tests against the same opposition in March 2013 at Mohali.
Dhawan scored 187 runs from 174 balls on his Test debut, the fastest century by any batsman on their Test debut. Since then, Dhawan has established himself as an integral member of the side in all three formats of the game.
On his 32nd birthday, he received several wishes on Twitter from his teammates and fellow cricketers. BCCI shared a short video of his birthday celebrations as well.
