Women’s Tri-Series in Netherlands 2024: Full schedule, squads and match timings

The Papua New Guinea Women (PNG) and the Scotland Women are all set to tour the Netherlands for a tri-series, starting from Monday, August 5. It comprises six ODIs and three T20Is. The tri-series will get over on Friday, August 16.

The ODI series will be played from August 5 to 12. The first two games will be played at the Sportpark Maarschalkerweerd in Utrecht before the action shifts to Amstelveen for the remainder of the series. The VRA Cricket Ground will host the remaining games.

The T20I series will kick off on Wednesday, August 14. It comprises three games and all will be played at the VRA Cricket Ground in Amstelveen.

In the ODI series, each side will play every other team twice. In the T20I series, each team will play two games, one against every opponent.

The first game of the tri-series will see the hosts Netherlands Women lock horns with the Papua New Guinea Women on August 5. The Papua New Guinea Women will face the Scotland Women the very next day in the second match.

Babette de Leede will be leading the Netherlands Women in the tri-series. She has a good amount of experience at the highest level and will be looking to lead by example. Iris Zwilling, Eva Lynch and Silver Siegers are the other experienced players in the side.

As far as the Papua New Guinea are concerned, Brenda Tau has been handed the responsibility of leading the side. The likes of Mahuta Jayphert, Pauke Siaka, Sibona Jimmy, and Lakshmi Rajadurai along with Tau will play a key role for the PNG side.

The Scotland Women will be without their regular skipper Kathryn Bryce who is currently playing in the Women’s Hundred 2024. In her absence, Ellen Watso, Katherine Fraser, Megan McColl, and Abtaha Maqsood will have to do the heavy-lifting for the Scottish side.
