#12 Kumar Sangakkara (Sri Lanka)

Kumar Sangakkara is another living legend featuring in this list. Under his leadership, Sri Lanka reached the final of the World Cup 2011 but unfortunately ended being the runners-up of the tournament.
The left-handed batsman had a remarkable career in all formats of the cricket as he had won The ICC ODI and T-20 Player of the Year Awards in his prime.
He stepped down from captaincy after the 2011 World Cup. Sanga retired from the T-20 cricket after leading the Lankans to a victory in the Twenty 20 World Cup in 2014.
He bid farewell to ODI cricket in the same year and finally ended his international career as one of the most successful Test players in 2015 against India.
Kumar Sangakkara has not left the 22 yards after his international retirement as he plays as a wicket-keeper batsmen in the following T20 teams - Multan Sultans (PSL), Dhaka Dynamites (BPL), Jamaica Tallawahs (CPL), Kandurata Warriors (SPL), Hobart Hurricanes (BBL), Nondescript (Sri Lankan first-class cricket) and he has also signed with Surrey Cricket Club. Sanga also is a part of the commentator's panel in IPL.
