Ricky Ponting is a legendary cricketer and has been a prominent part of the Australian cricket.

He had been the part of the victorious Australian side when they lifted the trophy for three consecutive times in 1999, 2003, and 2007 along with leading the side in 2003 and 2007. Ricky Ponting played his very last World cup in 2011.

After getting eliminated from the tournament, the great Australian batsman stepped down from the captain’s position and bid goodbye to the cricketing world in 2012-13.

He is the second highest run-getter of all time and had won the ICC player of the year in his prime. Ricky Ponting last laced up his boots in IPL 2013 playing for the Mumbai Indians.

The Right-handed batsmen now have taken the task to promote younger cricketers as he was the part of coaching staff of the Mumbai Indians in 2015-16 and of the Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) since 2018.

The legend is also helping Australian cricket board for the future and also is a part of the commentator's panel of the BBL.
