He led Bangladesh in 2011 World Cup and also inspired them to 3 victories but they failed to qualify for the knockout matches.

After suffering a big loss in the 2011 World Cup against the West Indies, Shakib was replaced as the captain.

But, this didn’t affect Shakib Al Hasan‘s individual performance as he concentrated on his cricket and became the No. 1 ranked all-rounder all over the world.

The Bangladeshi all-rounder has received praise from every part of the world. Presently, Shakib Al Hasan leads the side in the absence of regular captains (Mushfiqur Rahim and Mashrafe Mortaza).

Shakib also plays in multiple T20 leagues all over the world and represents the Dhaka Dynamites in BPL, Karachi Kings in PSL, Jamaica Tallawahs in CPL and Sun Risers Hyderabad in the IPL.
