The fielding has added runs to the opposition's total in almost every match

Inexperience is to be blamed here as well. The fiedling along the boundary lines has specifically been an area of concern for the Asian team. They have been bad at judging the trajectory of the ball and have ended up dropping quite a few catches in the outfield.

These lapses in the field have leaked runs and let down the bowlers. Fitness levels play a big part in the fielding and that has also been a let-down for Afghanistan. Some of the biggest names in the Afghanistan team have not been able to put up a decent show of fielding that has let down the team as a whole.

One more issue with the Afghanistan team is that age has caught up to them which has reflected on the field with big stars such as Asgar Afghan, Mohammad Nabi and Noor Ali Zadran a part of a number of fielding lapses.
