#1 Inability to pace the innings
Afghanistan were seen to be lacking match experience as in most games, especially in the chases against India and Bangladesh, the batsmen took a considerable amount of time to settle that only saw the required run-rate steep up at a meteoric rate.
While the batsmen did go on to make solid starts that kept Afghanistan in the chase at the beginning, the fact that they played out too many dot balls came back to add more pressure on the middle order.
They have gone pretty slow right until the 35th over at times, with wickets in hand. With pressure playing a major factor, the batsmen have felt an evident panic creeping up to the batsmen and they have ended up throwing wickets in bunches. They will have to learn from their mistakes and come back stronger.
