#1 Pakistan

One of the mercurial teams in this World Cup, predicting the fate of this team is close to impossible. The 'Men in Green' have been under the radar for their poor run in the white-ball cricket. In the lead-up to the World Cup, Pakistan came into the tournament at the back of two consecutive series losses against Australia and England.
Sarfaraz Ahmed and his team have been scrutinized for their inability to put up a collective effort as a team in the past ten games. If their batting was any positive on flat decks in England, the bowling, which has been their strength in their heydays, has been taken apart with the pace and seam unable to make an impact.
In their opening encounter against West Indies, the Asian giants received yet another setback after a batting collapse once again saw them in the firing line for not playing according to the conditions as they suffered a harsh defeat at the hands of the West Indies.
If this is the template for Pakistan in the rest of the tournament, it will only make matters worse for them in their quest to move up the ladder.
