#3 Most Centuries in World Cup

The great Sachin Tendulkar who boasts the record most centuries in ODI Cricket - 49, also holds the record of most centuries in the World Cup - 6. Sachin who made his World Cup debut in 1992 scored his maiden World Cup century in the very first game of the WC 1996 against Kenya at Cuttack. He also scored his second WC ton against Sri Lanka in the same season which unfortunately went in vain as India lost the match by 6 wickets. In the next World Cup season in 1999, he smashed only one ton which was against Kenya. He played a brilliant knock of 140 runs off just 101 balls and guided India to put a huge total of 329 runs on the board. It is notable that three out of his six centuries in the World Cup came in winning the cause, two in loss and one in a tied game against England in WC 2011.
