Martin Guptill’s brilliant pick up and throw from the boundary line ended India’s campaign. MS Dhoni had to depart after the ball directly hit the stumps with the batsman being just inches out of the crease.

However, this was not the only occasion where Guptill’s fielding only came into the spotlight.The Kiwi opener struggled with the bat in the 2019 World Cup, but he topped the list of most runs saved by a fielder in the mega-event.

He saved 48 runs for his team that too after the deduction of the 5 runs he conceded via overthrows. Guptill had saved all the 53 runs while fielding in the inner ring for New Zealand.
