#2 Pat Cummins
Pat Cummins has been brilliant for Australia in white ball cricket over the last few months. He was instrumental in the series win against India, picking up 14 wickets in 5 matches at an astounding average of 15.71. In the World Cup too he is doing great and has scalped 9 wickets from 4 matches at an average of 18.78.
In the last game, Cummins starred with the ball to help Australia to a nervy win over Pakistan. He was brilliant with 3/33 off 10 overs, showing why he is Australia’s go-to bowling star as Aaron Finch’s side looked to defend an under-par 307.
Currently placed at No. 1 in the ICC Test rankings and No. 6 in ODIs, Cummins is a vital cog in the Australian bowling wheel. Along with Mitchell Starc, he can wreak havoc in the opposition ranks with the new ball in hand.
He will pose a major threat to the already under-fire Sri Lankan batsmen.
