Saleem Malik could be considered as one of the most unlucky cricketers of the 20th century. He played more than 100 Test matches for his nation but still ended his career being labelled as a match fixer.

He was a part of the Pakistani team which played the 1992 Cricket World Cup before he played his last match in the year 1999. Later on, in the year 2000, a life ban was imposed on him for the match fixing allegation.

After this, he has been doing his personal business with a partner named Hamza Yusuf. He tried to become the batting coach of the Pakistani side in 2012 but did not succeed in doing so. At present, he is planning to form a cricket academy in Lahore to develop the future cricketers of Pakistan.
