Bangladesh have grown leaps and bounds over the years
Bangladesh was a real surprise package in this World Cup. They have improved a lot over the last decade. Players like Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim scored the bulk of Bangladesh’s runs while Mustafizur Rahman was their standout bowler. They started the tournament on a good note after defeating South Africa in their opening game. A few games later, they pulled off an impressive win when they chased down West Indies’ target of 321 runs in just 42 overs.
Shakib Al Hasan had a stellar World Cup as he shattered records to score over 600 runs as an all rounder this year. Bangladesh fought hard and stayed in contention for a semi-final spot until the end of the tournament. They needed to win their last two games to make the top four. However, they failed to deliver when it mattered the most. In the end, Bangladesh finished in 8th place with three wins from their five games.

A wrestling aficionado since childhood, Sunil used to imitate his favorite wrestlers as a young kid, and started writing professionally about the sport via Sportskeeda’s revenue-sharing opportunity.
Sunil admires former world champions AJ Styles, Will Ospreay, and Kenny Omega for their ability to consistently deliver great matches as well as entertain crowds with their mic skills.
If ever given a chance to change a storyline, Sunil would have booked Roman Reigns to end The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak instead of Brock Lesnar. According to him, The Tribal Chief needed the victory more than Brock Lesnar, as the latter was already an established performer when he defeated ‘Taker. He would’ve also made that as Taker’s final match.
Always focused on making his work accurate and reliable, Sunil thoroughly checks his facts before writing his articles. When not writing for pro wrestling, he spends his time watching cricket.
