Australia enjoy an unbeaten record in the World Cup semi-finals

The five-time World Champions are an indomitable force when it comes to ICC tournaments, and are even lethal at the World Cup. They have featured in 7 semi-finals (prior to this World Cup), and have the distinction of being unbeaten in all of them.

Australia qualified for the semi-finals in the maiden World Cup in the inaugural edition in 1975. After missing out on the next two chances, they made a comeback to the semis in 1987, when they went on to lift their maiden title. After an underwhelming display in 1992, they again featured in the final four in 1996, and since then, have been a part of all the World Cup semi-finals except 2011.

While Australia has won 6 of these 7 matches, one has ended in a tie, with the Kangaroos still making it to the final with a superior record in the Super Six stage. Aaron Finch's men would be hoping to maintain their unbeaten record in this stage, as they face arch-rivals England at Edgbaston on 11th July.
