Team India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal is considered among the brightest young batting talents from the country. Coming from an extremely humble background, he has faced numerous hardships, which have been well-documented, and now finds himself on the path to stardom.

Jaiswal made his Test debut in West Indies in July 2023 and made an instant impact, scoring 171 off 387 balls in Roseau, a 501-minute knock that featured 16 fours and a six. The youngster was named Player of the Match as the visitors won the contest by an innings and 141 runs.

Jaiswal's other two hundreds have also been big ones. As mentioned earlier, the Mumbai batter scored 171 on Test debut against West Indies in Roseau in July 2023. The Indian opener also scored a memorable 161 off 297 balls against Australia in Perth in November 2024 in the opening Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test.

While Gavaskar had six centuries to his name after his first 19 Tests, he converted only one of those into double hundreds.
