Over the years, we have seen several teenage sensations represent their respective nations in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
In the previous edition of the showpiece event, UAE’s all-rounder Aayan Afzal made history, as he became the youngest-ever to feature in a T20 World Cup fixture. Afzal was just 16 years and 335 days at the time.

The 16-year-old broke the 13-year-old record, which was held by Pakistan left-arm pacer Mohammad Amir. The talented pacer made his T20 WC debut in 2009 at the age of 17 years and 55 days. Former Pakistan opener Ahmed Shehzad also made his T20 WC debut during the same event. He was 17 years and 196 days old at the time.

Afghanistan’s wrist-spin sensation Rashid Khan remains the third-youngest to feature in a T20 WC game. The legendary spin-bowling all-rounder was just 17 years and 55 days old when he made his WC debut in the 2016 event.

Ireland’s spin-bowling all-rounder George Dockrell is at the fifth spot. He made his World Cup debut for the Irish at the age of 17 years and 282 days in 2010.
