Out-of-favour big hitting all-rounder Yusuf Pathan has said that he is working very hard to make a comeback into the Indian team.
NDTV quoted Yusuf as saying: “My focus is to play good cricket and I have done well with the bat this season. I know if I play good cricket then it would be better for me (to come back in Indian side).
“If I play good cricket then message would automatically reach to the concern people,” said Pathan, who last played an ODI for India against Pakistan in 2012.
Yusuf-led Baroda will face Mumbai in a One-day fixture as a part of the Vijay Hazare Trophy beginning on Thursday.
Pathan added: “Everybody has been contributing well this season and tomorrow’s match would be important match for us.”
On his brother Irfan Pathan‘s fitness, the Kolkata Knight Riders player said: “Irfan is fully fit to bowl in Thursday’s match. Irfan is back from National Cricket Academy (NCA) and he would bowl in the match.”
