Kolkata Knight Riders‘ all-rounder Yusuf Pathan has flown back home from UAE on Friday to be with his newborn child.

Pathan left for home after his wife Afreen gave birth to a baby boy early Friday, KKR owner Shah Rukh Khan tweeted:

Yusuf married Afreen last year in March. He was part of the team which won the opening game on Wednesday against Mumbai Indians, scoring 4 runs off 4 deliveries towards the end of KKR innings.

So far, there’s been no news from official channels regarding when he’ll return to join the squad. KKR play their next game against Delhi Daredevils in Dubai on Saturday, April 19.
