Dhruv Sitwala has successfully defended his Asian Billiards Championships title after defeating Bhaskar Balachandra 6-2 in the final in Colombo on Tuesday. It could be said that it was the latter who entered the competition with more confidence, having defeated Pankaj Advani and Peter Gilchrist earlier in the competition, but it didn't prove to be the case, as the 23-year-old Mumbai-born cueist reigned supreme.
Bhaskar managed to win just 2 games in the best of 11 games match and Dhruv brought his ‘A’ game to the fore completely dominated proceedings to eventually seal the contest.
