Good team kits often add to the glamour quotient of a team and when badly done also bring the team flak, but the team kit of the Colombian women’s cycling team definitely made people take notice.

The outfit designed for the women’s cycling team from Colombia, was as normal as any other kit, but for one small detail. It featured a large section of flesh coloured cloth covering the lower section of the torso and the groins of the women, such that the audience got the impression that the design was such that it revealed bare flesh.

Adding to all this is the fact that the Colombian team is backed by the narional government, and the capital city of Bogota sponsors the team. The outfit has been designed for an event which will take place in Italy.

Interestingly, the kit used by non-cycling team members did not feature the flesh coloured patch, thus confirming that it was specially designed for the cyclists only.
