Shay wants to take revenge on Assassins

Ubisoft’s new upcoming game Assassins Creed Rogue, has many surprises for the gamers. This is the first assassins game where the players play maximum part of the game as a templar. Ubisoft have released a new story trailer and explained about it in their official UbiBlog. It is already mentioned that Assassins Creed III Haytham Kenway and Assassins Creed Black Flag Adewale will feature in this game for a brief part. Now, the new addition to these characters is Assassins Creed III mentor Achilles Davenport.

As shown in the video below, Shay joins the Brotherhood and starts learning the skills from other Assassins and also from a Native American. When a mission goes wrong, Shay questions the assassins but they turn their back to him and try to kill him. He receovers and starts taking revenge on the Brotherhood. The games producers Karl van der Luhe and Ivan Balabanov told that,

Eventually he realizes these Templars’ motives are more in-line with what he believes is right, It’s not a case of I’m going to the dark side. It’s a case of I’m more aligned with their approach. The Templars and Assassins essentially want the same things, they just have very different ways of getting there

Assassins Creed Rogue is considered to be sequel to Assassins Creed Black Flag and contains ties to Assassins Creed III and Assassins Creed Unity.

So what happened between those two games? Shay happened. With the help of Haytham Kenway and the other Templars, he wrested control of North America away from the Assassins.

It is shown in the trailer that Achilles and Shay has some sort of fight and shay promises to kill anyone who comes between them. The producers mentioned that playing as a templar, we get to know more about Shay and might find difficult in attacking our own assassins. They said,

It might be troubling for some players to be taking on Assassins, But once they learn more and see who Shay is and really get involved with his story, I think they’re going to question who is in the right. Are the Assassins really the good guys? Are all the Templars evil? I think they’ll see it’s all quite gray.

This game will surely bridge the gap between the previous Assassins games and will give the players a new incredible experience from the eyes of an Assassin turned Templar.

The game is set to be released on November for PS3 and Xbox 360. For PC, the game will be released in the early 2015.
