Assassin’s Creed Unity's absence from Wii U explained

Ubisoft’s october release Assassin’s Creed : Unity will not be available on the Wii U. Sportskeeda earlier revealed that the game’s prospects were being limited by the capabilities of Xbox One and PS4 and now, as per reports, Wii U owners are set to completely miss out on the game.

The console is set to miss out on both Assassin’s Creed Unity as well as Assassin’s Creed Rogue, scheduled for a release this year. For the case of Unity, there is a reason why it won’t be out for the WIi U -

Alex Amancio, the creative director of Assassin’s Creed Unity recently revealed the reason for the absence of the game from the Wii U console in an interview with Red Bull. He clearly stated that the Wii U was not powerful enough to support a game like Unity. “it couldn’t, it really couldn’t” are the exact words he spoke, in terms of the console’s power to handle the game. He also said if they were to “hinder that or reduce” the game’s performance just for Wii U, it wouldn’t be the same experience, clearly stating intentions not to compromise on the gaming experience. He later added that it would be ““cheating fans by providing a lesser version of the same game,” if it were made available for Wii U.
