LucasArts presents, Thimbleweed Park

Famous creators of games such as the likes of Maniac Mansion, Day of the Tentacle, Loom, The Secret of Monkey Island and many more, Gary Winnick and Ron Gilbert have announced few days ago that they are making another classic adventure game as they called; “Thimbleweed Park”. They have started a kickstarter project for the creation of this game and have reportedly mentioned that Thimbleweed Park is "the true spiritual successor to Maniac Mansion and Monkey Island".

According to the story description in their kickstarter page, Thimbleweed Park is basically a crime solving game where two detectives come across a case of investigating a dead body found in their town river. Apparently, you can play as five different characters to explore the world of Thimbleweek Park and yes, one cool feature is; multiple endings! (Adds great replay value to the game). The graphics of the game are a retro-looking 2D animated one and the gameplay is a simple point-and-click type with added plots of dark comedy.

Woah that’s dark

The release date for the game hasn’t been mentioned yet as the kickstarter target budget of $375,000 is yet to be reached for development funding. But estimations expect the game to be delivered around August 2016.

Personally, I think this game’s gonna feel like one of those old school classic retro-games which leaves a lasting impression in your memory for a long time after playing the game.
