The ESRB ratings summary for Grand Theft Auto V on the PS4 and Xbox One consoles has now been released which showcases some slight new additions not seen in the original PS3/Xbox 360 release as well as one particular exclusion. DualShockers has analyzed both ESRB rating summaries for Grand Theft Auto V on PS4/Xbox One as well as PS3/Xbox 360 and has noticed that some new features have been added to the PS4/Xbox One versions. One feature on the other hand has been removed completely from the PS4/Xbox One version.
There was a “brief instance of necrophilia (no nudity is depicted)“ in the ESRB rating summary for GTA on PS3/Xbox 360. Looks like any incidence of necrophilia has been wiped clear from the PS4/Xbox One version of the game. This seems to be the only thing that has been removed so far, which is far from distressing considering it really takes nothing away from the gameplay.
On the other hand, some of the descriptions on the rating summary for PS4/Xbox One versions of the game sound exciting as these descriptions never appeared on the PS3/Xbox 360 versions of the game. New features perhaps?
One of these is that “various sex acts (sometimes from a close-up perspective)”, of course this could be referring to the new FPS mode that has been added to the game allowing for a ‘close up’ perspective. Other descriptions the ESRB has added is “caricatures of ethnic/racial groups” and “hallucinating from peyote“ which may have already been included in the original PS3/Xbox 360 versions but was probably left out by the ESRB in their summary last year. So other than somdrugs, sex, necrophilia, and some good old fashion racism, very little seems to be different from the two games.
