F1 2013 promises to trump previous editions

F1 2013 is a video game developed by Codemasters. It is based on the 2013 Formula One season. It is the fifth Formula One game developed by the Codemasters studios after the company renewed its licence to develop the official games of the series. It was announced on 15 July 2013. It uses the EGO Engine. The game will feature all eleven teams and twenty-two drivers competing in the 2013 season, as well as the nineteen circuits and Grands Prix.

F1 2013 is due for release in October 2013 on PlayStation 3, Microsoft Windows and Xbox 360.

Overview

Make history in Formula 1! F1 2013 features all the cars, stars and circuits from the 2013 Formula 1 season, plus, for the first time, it also contains classic content. F1 Classics is an expansive new game mode in which you’ll race legendary drivers in famous cars on iconic circuits from the 1980s. This classic content can also be played in a range of modes including split-screen and online multiplayer.

F1 Classics

Introduced by legendary broadcaster Murray Walker, race legends of the sport in classic cars on famous tracks in solo, split-screen and online multiplayer modes. A “Classic Edition” of the game will be released that features additional drivers, cars and circuits from the 1980s and 1990s, including the Williams FW07B, FW12, FW14B, FW18, Ferrari F399, F1/87/88C, and Lotus 100T. Additional circuits will include Estoril, Imola, Brands Hatch and Jerez.

Grand Prix mode returns

Step into the shoes of your favourite driver and compete in a single race, full or custom season in the pursuit of racing glory.

Expanded Young Drivers Test

Based on the real world event, the Young Driver Test is expanded in F1 2013 to give you all the techniques to progress from rookie to elite driver.

Glorious Formula 1

F1 2013 will immerse players in the world’s most visually striking sport with new graphical improvements and more realistic AI driver behaviour.

New Scenario mode

Along with the Grand Prix mode, an expanded Young Driver’s Test has been developed and a new Scenario Mode with challenges and medals with which racers can hone their skills.

Multiplayer with RaceNet

F1 2013 will be fully integrated with Codemaster’s RaceNet community hub that appeared in both F1 2012 and GRID 2, offering challenges, stats and progress tracking.
