Mega Rayquaza revealed for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire

There is just a little over a month to go before the worldwide release of the highly awaited Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. The Pokémon Company had made announcements earlier, during a live stream, of a brand new Mega Evolution for the games, this time for a legendary Pokémon. Then, The Pokémon Company YouTube page has, in just some hours, provided an official reveal.

The trailer reveals that the two main legendary characters of the game, Groudon and Kyogre are receiving Primal forms, rather than Mega Evolution. The third legendary- Rayquaza however, will be getting a standard Mega Evolution. The new Mega Rayquaza doesn’t get much transformation in design other that a few extra black on his body than before. In terms of skill, the Mega Rayaquaza gets a new ability called Delta Stream, which creates a mysterious air current, which protects flying type Pokémon. It also has Dragon Ascent, a new move that looks extremely mighty in battle.
