Resident Evil Revelations 2 available for pre-order

Resident Evil Revelations 2 will be released on Feb. 17, 2015, according to a listing on Sony's PlayStation Store. Capcom announced at this weekend's New York Comic Con that pre-orders on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 will come with a Throwback stage pack. The Complete Season includes all four story episodes and bonus content upon release for $24.99 USD.

On pre ordering, the players get to play the Throwback stage pack which will add a few memorable environments from past Resident Evil games into Revelations 2's RAID Mode. The exclusive offer is currently only for the PS4, but is scheduled to be released on the PS3 soon.Capcom plans to release the episodes of the game on a weekly basis.When contacted for clarification, the developers couldn't confirm the Feb. 17 release date for Revelations 2, sticking to its announced "early 2015" release window.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 stars Claire Redfield and Moira Burton, and like the first Resident Evil Revelations, players can swap between the two characters as they play. The game's events take place between the events of Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 in a detention facility on an abandoned island. Revelations 2 is coming to PS3, PS4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One next year. Watch the game’s trailer over here.
