Since taking over WCW, WWE has named the Nebraska-born wrestler as the greatest superstar in the WCW era. The 55-year-old in recent years, has gone on to establish himself as a TNA legend. Total Nonstop Action inducted him into their Hall of Fame in June 2012.

Sting has never made a foray into the WWE ring. He was a star with WCW and NWA in the late 80's and 90's. A seven-time World Heavyweight Champion during that time, Sting refused to join WWE when they took over WCW in 2001.
But the wrestling veteran may have hinted at a possible WWE appearance on his twitter page. He had just posted the date 07.14.14, maybe talking about coming on WWE Monday Night Raw on the same date.
