Survival mode and DLC packs announced for Alien Isolation

After recently going gold, Alien: Isolation comes out with even more good news. According to reports, SEGA and Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products have announced the game’s Survivor Mode and five supporting DLC packs.

Survivor Mode was first revealed at E3 this summer and the mode challenges players to compete in confrontations with the Alien using only the limited resources that available. Players must improvise and make use of whatever items that comes into their hands if as they fight to survive. One of the playable Survivor Mode maps, titled Basement will come out with the game, followed by the first of five Survivor Mode add-on packs, almost a fortnight later, on October 28. The first add-on will offer three new maps, an assortment of enemy types and a new playable character.

The four remaining add-ons will be released in the months that follow and each of them will include a new playable character and a blend of new maps and game modes. All of the DLC packs will launch before March 2015. All this content will also feature in the Alien: Isolation Season Pass for a 25 per cent discount, or can be bought independently.
