Themes added for Nintendo 3DS in latest update.

The System Update 9.0.0 for Nintendo 3DS will see addition of themes, which will enable users to alter their entire home screen with various themes. Five themes will be given away for free as a part of the update, while others will be offered via a brand new Theme Store from Nintendo. Apart from the interface, the new themes will also feature new music, sound effects, and animations. Users will be able to check out all of the available themes once the Theme Store is added as part of this new update.

The full official announcement from Nintendo is as follows:

“The latest system update brings a fun new way to customize your Nintendo 3DS system. You can now apply themes to your HOME Menu background, icons, and folders. Five free themes are available with the update, with more available to purchase and download in the Theme Store, accessed via your HOME Menu.

These include more colors and patterns, plus special themes based on fan-favorites such as Mario™ and The Legend of Zelda™. These special themes can even include music, sound effects, and animations. To see the full list of available themes, check out the Theme Store on your Nintendo 3DS.”
