You tube user Martin Sofiedal was invited to drop by at Naughty Dogs company office in California after his brilliant Unchartered: Ambushed fan movie, posted a few weeks back. Apparently, on his visit, he got an early look at Unchartered 4: A Thief's End.
“I got to see some pretty raw stuff from the new game, including drawings of planned action sequences and how all of the characters look like now with upgraded graphics,” he told Press Fire. “It was almost scary to see Sully as an almost living person. I also got to see a few seconds of the opening scene, which is still under construction, but already looking incredible.” Sofiedal ambiguously described the leap over previous titles as “PlayStation 2 graphics to Pixar”.
He further elaborated on one particular demonstration that he was presented: “They showed some tests with [protagonist Nathan] Drake going through a bit of tall grass, and how every straw reacts to his movements while also responding to the wind. It was crazy; I've never seen anything like it.”
There is no determination to the accuracy of Sofiedal's comments, after all he is a fan subject possibly to bias. The good thing is that Naughty Dog has promised that we’ll get a proper look at this soon, and the upcoming PlayStation Experience event seems like the likeliest venue. Evan Wells of Naughty Dog had earlier told Game Crate, “It’s coming along nicely,” he teased. “We’ve been hard at work since E3 and all I can say is that we’ll be having some stuff to show you very soon.”
