"When the past and present collide, the fate of all worlds hangs in the balance." -The Prophet Velen

World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor continues where the 4th expansion, "Mists of Pandaria" left off. It is after Garrosh Hellscream was appointed the Warchief of the Horde by Thrall(during the shattering, aka "World of Warcraft: Cataclysm"--the 3rd expansion to Warcraft) and where Garrosh became a tyrant Warchief, plundering and warring countless other races & clans. By the end of "Mists of Pandaria", Garrosh was defeated by "The Alliance" and was sent to Pandaria to face the trial for his atrocities for turning into the very thing he fought against in the past. But on arriving at Pandaria, Garrosh escapes from the Pandaren prison with the help of a rebellious bronze dragon(Kairozdomu aka Kairoz) and travels back in time of the world of Draenor to the timeline before the present Horde was formed. There he convinces his father, Grom Hellscream not to drink the blood of Mannoroth the demon lord and in this alternate timeline, Garrosh raises his new Horde forged with steel and technology from the future--better known as the "Iron Horde". And so, with his new Horde of evil amped up orcs, he plans to create a dark portal to return to this present era and overrun Azeroth with his Iron Horde.

  • Features to expect-

As mentioned in their official site, there are countless new features which will be coming up in this 4th expansion. Some really exciting updates are as follows:

  1. The level cap has been increased from the normal 90 to 100 and with it comes new level 100 talents. Also, you can explore the new world of Draenor from the past with an alternative parallel past. There are currently two PvP zones: Wintergrasp and Tol Barad. A new PvP-oriented zone, Ashran, is planned for the upcoming Warlords of Draenor expansion. At the expansion's launch, seven new dungeons will be introduced for level 90-100 players, as well as two raids forming the very first raid tier of the expansion. With it comes a new difficulty of raids called Mythic, which will be the highest difficulty version of that raid.
  2. Another very exciting aspect is, the ability to form personal garrisons by the players. Garrisons are highly customizable character-specific sub-zones, where players can arrange, construct and manage their own base of operations against the Iron Horde. Players can recruit Non-Playable Characters (NPC’s) who must be influenced or bribed to join the player’s personal garrison. With this, players can then group up their garrisons and send them off for quests, or with an ally to undertake dangerous against their foes. Successful raids and quests will hold big loot for the players, all thanks to the garrisons.
  3. Character revamp for the pre-Cataclysm races. With the new patch 6.0.3, characters introduced prior to Cataclysm will have their models updated and revamped totally. And for the first time, players will be able to choose new faces for their characters, which will allow players to re-customize the appearance of their new models for only a small amount of gold.
  4. There are going to be new updates on the PvP level too. There will be upgrades to battleground systems, including objective displays, scoreboard upgrades and new rewards! Warlords of Draenor will have changes to how the game servers work, thus allowing for improved responsiveness during play. That means, compared to the current responsive processing speed of 400ms from the servers, the new patch is expected to bring around 1-10ms, allowing the game to feel significantly more responsive, and is predicted to reduce the frequency of latency-caused death and cooldown activation by around 40 times. All in all, less lag for online multiplayers!
