However, given their attribute ratings, investing in an Icon or Hero player is often worth the investment. That being said, there are some relatively cheap options with good stats available as well.

Dutch legend Johan Cruyff's Icon card is one of the very best in the game. He can play as a Center Attacking Midfielder (CAM) or a Striker. Cruyff has excellent ratings for these roles, such as 90 Pace, 91 Shooting, 90 Passing, and 93 Dribbling. However,, getting Cruyff is a pretty expensive venture.

2) Dennis Bergkamp

Dennis Bergkamp is another Icon player who can play as a Striker or CAM. His ratings are a tad lower than Cruyff's but are still pretty impressive. He has 83 Pace, 89 Shooting, 84 Passing, and 88 Dribbling. Bergkamp costs a lot less than the previous entry.

Zinedine Zidane's Icon card is pretty expensive, costing around four million coins in EA FC 25. However, it seems worth the hefty investment. The 1998 World Cup winner with France can play in a creative role as a Center Midfielder (CM) or in a more attacking position as a CAM. Zidane has 83 Pace, 90 Shooting, 94 Passing as well as 94 Dribbling. He has good strength too, thanks to his 84 Physicality.

Landon Donovan's is, comparatively, a very affordable Hero card. He can play as a Right Midfielder (RM), Striker, or CAM. He is fast, has 89 Pace, is adept in front of goal (86 Shooting), and is good in terms of ball progression with ratings of 81 in Passing, and 85 in Dribbling.

Those looking for a good defensive Icon can consider targeting Lothar Matthaus. The 1990 World Cup winner with Germany costs close to three million coins but has really good ratings across the board. The lowest of the bunch is Dribbling, and that too is rated 81. He can play as a Center Back (CB), CDM, and even CM.

7) Javier Mascherano

Argentine great Javier Mascherano is another solid defensive option. He can play as a CB or CDM. He has 89 Defending and 86 Physicality. He isn't very fast or a great passer, but his Hero card is relatively quite affordable.

9) Fabio Cannavaro

10) Ferenc Puskas

The final entry on this list is Ferenc Puskas' Icon card. He can play as a Striker and has some excellent ratings such as 90 Pace, 94 Shooting, 89 Passing, and 91 Dribbling. Other Icon Strikers in EA FC 25 such as Ronaldo Nazario and Thierry Henry have comparable ratings in these departments, but Puskas costs lesser.
