12 worst dressed gaming characters

Sreeju

Not everyone is George Clooney, or Sonam Kapoor, in terms of how to dress impeccably; certainly not me. But sometimes, we come across people whose dressing style is so weird that we can’t help but gape at them with our mouths open, and wonder what’s got into their heads. Gaming world is not exactly filled the best dressed characters, and rightly so, but still there are some characters who stick out like sore thumbs.Below is the list of ten such oddities, who, if in real-life, are in a dire need of a good fashion designer, if they ever want to save themselves from future embarrassment.

#12 Chuck Greene - Dead Rising 2

I know you could customize Chuck Greene’s clothing in the menu option. But why were the above worn dress and Daisy Dukes included in his wardrobe? Which sick mind loves to see him fighting zombies wearing these? Interesting, no way. Funny, maybe. Bizarre, certainly.

#11 Sora - Kingdom Hearts

The last time, I saw a costume like this, it was either on Goofy or someone from Uncle Scrooge’s entourage. I am not exactly a fashion critic, but this entire ensemble spells disaster. The villains would probably die laughing on seeing this rather than be killed in some duel, and even they are known for their outlandish costumes!!! Sora, next time you audition for a Disney cartoon, I am sure you are a definite shoo-in. And those shoes, shudder!!!

#10 Female Armor - World of Warcraft

Seriously what’s with video-games and their portrayal of warrior women? Can someone please explain why men (the picture on the left…If you can term him as a man…) in WOW have their entire torso covered while the females have their midriff exposed so abundantly. How can you fight a war having so much of yourself exposed to the enemy for them to hurt you? If the costume was designed so in order to distract the enemy, then I totally agree. No wonder they term Video-games sexist. More on that later on this list!!!

#9 Tidus - Final Fantasy X

If the previously mentioned Sora has some real toughcompetition from anyone for being the male video-game character dressed in the most bizarre cartoon costume, it’s this guy. Maybe both went to the same fashion designer who had taken fashion lessons from Disneyland. If this man thinks he is good-looking in that attire, he needs to seriously take some psycho-evaluation of his mental state. You can’t seriously root for this man to win!!!! Sorry, boss, but that’s neither mach nor dashing nor suave. Also, someone explain who cut half his pants, please?

#8 Xian - Dead Island

This is the most dignified posture I could find of our lady. I know there has been a zombie apocalypse and you don’t have to wear the best of the ensemble, but you could slip something right in...There are several instances in the gameplay where you doubt what your eyes are seeing. Has she really forgotten to wear her...? Thankfully, the graphics of the game isn’t that good that your doubt is ever verified. But, lady, please, some better clothes next time, even if there is a zombie out there to rip your throat!

#7 Link - The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

I have no qualms with Link’s real costume that he wears in the later stages of the game - his green uniform. It’s the above costume that is something of an eyesore. How do you really explain the sack like dress, man? I mean, who would seriously take you as a warrior? Thank God, the developers saw through this fashion disaster and gave the loveable hero something that’s easy on our eyes in the later stages.

#6 Mileena - Mortal Kombat

Seriously, that costumes reeks R-rating. How can you even fight someone wearing such sort of….costume, for the lack of any other decent word I can use for what she is wearing? It’s objectionable and too erotic for a game character and this is Mortal Kombat we are speaking about – one of the highly-followed game franchises, even by kids. Surely, no parent would like to see their child wrestle off with someone dressed like that!

#5 Chloe Walsh - No More Heroes 2

Could someone let us know the time this woman has taken to put on this atrocious costume? Does she know magic? Does she have a mirror? How can a woman lend herself to such a hideous ensemble? What’s with the shoes? Are those really shoes? So many questions…left unanswered…No More Heroes franchise really needs a fashion consultant in their technical panel.

#4 Bibi Love - Dead Rising 2

Please tell me if any of you find this woman appealing. If yes, then I need to get my eye-sight tested. Why would you dress up a middle-aged, not so good-looking woman in a black dominatrix-kind of dress that shoves up ample cleavage right into our poor eyes? Haven’t we got tortured enough watching Rakhi Sawant every now and then? To top it all, someone had the dare to even thrust a mike in her hand. Why this Kolaveri Di?

#3 Mildred - Dark Souls

If you thought Bibi Love was bizarre enough, I have really no say about this weirdo woman. Over-weight and scantily-dressed, she even has the audacity to put on some sort of bag over her head. Whether it was out of the fear of seeing shame in our eyes, or whether she is herself hiding the look of embarrassment on her face, I have no clue. I do wish, though, that she could have better covered up everything else.

#2 Tingle - Legend of Zelda

No, Nintendo, no…that man does not look loveable. Even if you dress him in almost the same green eleven outfit that make Link somewhat redeemable in our eyes, this man still looks creepy. You would not want your kid to have any kind of association with him. In fact, he reminds me of my most dreaded fairytale character – Rumpelstiltskin. Link, I have only one word of advice for you – stay away from oddities who think they are doing you a favor by dressing like you. Flattery is cool, but this is positively disturbing.

#1 Poison Ivy - Batman: Arkham City

Batman: Arkham City is one of my favorite games with the Dark Knight in lead. The gameplay is so engrossing that I could spend hours on it without any care for anything around me. However, when this lady is around, I become kind of cautious and had to check if my mother is around. How would I explain to her that this is a game and not some err…you know…err…objectionable manga? Woman, where have you have forgotten your pants? What’s with the villainesses and their aversion to wear some decent clothes?
