3 best characters to build for Xiangli Yao in Wuthering Waves 1.2

Yinlin (Sub-DPS)

Xiangli Yao is an Electro Dps 5-star Resonator. Considering this, Yinlin is a perfect candidate to partner with Xiangli Yao considering you have her on your roster. Her Outro Skill will buff the incoming character's Electro DMG and their Resonance Liberation DMG. By fully utilizing these buffs, Xiangli Yao can increase his damage potential. Yinlin is a versatile character as she can use her abilities to deal a respectable amount of damage both on and off the field.

Sanhua and Mortefi (ideally at higher constellations like S6) are also good substitutes for those who do not have Yinlin. These two 4-star sub-DPS units can do considerable damage to the enemies and boost your main DPS's attack. Although their buffs aren't as powerful for Xiangli Yao as Yinlin's, they are still a viable choice. It must be mentioned that both these characters provide this attack buff when you have their S6 unlocked.

Jianxin is a 5-star support unit. Owing to her exceptional crowd-control skills, Xiangli Yao can hit multiple targets at once more easily. She can create a shield that can absorb the incoming damage while healing your characters by a decent amount. Jianxin's Outro Skill buffs the incoming character's Resonance Liberation DMG. Xiangli Yao can effectively utilize this buff to deal substantial damage to the enemy.

Verina is an exceptional 5-star Support/Healer. She provides a significant amount of healing to the entire team, which can be invaluable during some of the tougher content in Wuthering Waves. Her Outro Skill heals the incoming character while amplifying the entire team's damage by a substantial amount. Xiangli Yao can take full advantage of Verina's abilities to stay healthy and receive buffs that will help maximize his damage.

Baizhi is a 4-star alternate that is equally comparable if you do not have Verina available. Like Verina, Baizhi is a Support unit that provides your party with a good amount of healing. Her Outro Skill provides a bigger multiplier on the damage buff, but it lasts for a shorter duration than Verina, and it only goes to the incoming character. That said, Baizhi's skills allow her to regenerate her Concerto Energy faster, which lets her use her Outro Skill more frequently.
