3 key features of Squad Busters August 2024 update

The Squad Busters August 2024 update has been announced, and it promises to bring many changes to the game. New Battle Modifiers will be introduced, and some will be deleted. Additionally, a few characters will be added to the title. The patch will also feature a new world called the Lava World, which takes stylistic inspiration from PEKKA's Playhouse from Clash of Clans.

Lava World and other main features of the Squad Busters August 2024 update

1) Lava World: Characters and Battle Mods

A new world called Lava World will be introduced with the Squad Busters August 2024 update. For now, this area will introduce players to three new characters: Leon, Miner, and Archer. New Battle Modifiers (Time Out, Hatchling Herder, and Crystal Forest) will also be added to the game.

As of now, Lava World will be the last World of the Squad Journey, available at tier 120.

New characters:

The following characters will be available for unlocking in the Squad Busters August 2024 update:

• Leon: Leon will be an Epic troop and speedster.
• Miner: Miner will be a Rare troop and Defender.
• Archer: Archer will be a common troop and ranged Attacker.

New Battle Modifiers:

The Lava World will feature these Battle Modifiers:

• Time Out: Start the round with 200 Gems and collect time. The squad that fails to collect enough time to last till the end will be eliminated.
• Crystal Forest: The map is full of magic trees, and every squad starts with a Hero Greg. Magic trees drop more loot than regular ones.
• Hatchling Herder: Explore the map and collect Hatchlings. They will follow the squad in a line, like a tail. Steal enemy hatchlings and protect yours from being stolen.

Lava World will also feature a gem mine that spews out massive rocks filled with gems that do area damage upon contact.

2) Removal of a few features

The Squad Busters August 2024 update will remove Battle Bags, Keys, MEGAs, and Rerolls as consumables. Normal keys will still spawn during battles but will not be available as rewards or in the shop.

Additionally, Rerolls are now gone, but players will still have a refresh button to change troops of the battle chest. Refresh will be available to all players at the beginning of the match.

MEGAs will also be unavailable, but their skins will be accessible for corresponding characters. Players will receive compensation for every extra copy of MEGAs, Keys, Rerolls, and Battle Bags.

Since MEGAs are gone, the MEGA Start Battle Modifier will also be removed. Additionally, the Baby Battle mod will be removed in response to the community's demands. Chest Doublers will no longer be time-based.

3) Style Tickets

A new currency called Style Tickets will be introduced in the Squad Busters August 2024 update. These tickets will be available from the Gem Pass, other reward tracks, and events. They can be used to purchase certain skins and emotes.

Using emotes will also be more convenient now. They will be assignable to particular actions, such as when successfully busting an opponent, fusing a troop, getting first place, and more.

Emotes will still be manually accessible by tapping the speech button.
