Wuthering Waves Version 1.1 "Thaw of Eons" is expected to go live on June 28, 2024. Given below is a brief about the new exploration features.

Wuthering Waves 1.1 update will release a new map called Mt. Firmament. As a mountain range, there is a lot of verticality and tons of underground places to explore. Due to the complexity of this new mountainous map, Kuro Games has added a new multi-layered map feature, which will help players have an easier time exploring Mt.Firmament.

The layered map feature also allows you to switch between different layers on the in-game map for more detailed exploration guidance. It is worth noting that this map feature can be accessed when exploring the new region introduced in the version 1.1 update. Thus, players will have to wait for future updates before they can use the layered map feature to explore other areas in Jinzhou.

New Area Quest Progress

Exploration quests, introduced in Wuthering Waves 1.0, allow players to explore, clear, and unlock various regions of the map. These are important quests because they can introduce new NPCs and shops (such as Tiger's Maw) that you will not be able to access until you have completed the exploration quest.

Many players in the community struggle to keep track of their progress on the quest menu. After the 1.1 update, a new area quest box will be added in Map Exploration Progress to help you track your exploration quest progress for the current area.

Expanded Detection Range for Lootmapper

After the Wuthering Waves 1.1 update, the Lootmapper's detection range will be increased significantly. This makes tracking and finding nearby undiscovered Supply Chests easier for players.

For those wondering, Lootmapper is a utility tool that can be claimed from the Pioneer Association office as a reward for completing certain exploration progress in Solari-3.
