This one here is all about timing. Unlike Zlatan and Cristiano’s urge to make it to the footballing spotlight, here we have a defender belonging to a team we can’t quite make out but Mario Gomez from Germany sure can. Taking matters into his own hands, this young man decides to bring down Gomez...and keep him there.

Yes fouls happen on the pitch all the time and the defender was possibly just doing his job, but the sheer timing of the screen grab makes for a hilarious outcome.

Poor ol’ Mario can only try and wriggle out of perhaps the most crunching tackle in world football today and either at the end of this, the defender was sent off or richly rewarded by his manager for a job well done.
