1) Be careful with the Dodge button

Dodging is the most efficient way of avoiding enemy attacks in Black Myth Wukong. You can dodge pretty much every attack in the game, and it is recommended that you try to do so. However, it is quite easy to get into the habit of spamming the dodge button, which can be a massive misstep.

After three consecutive dodges, your speed drops significantly, and it also takes a toll on your Stamina bar. This will leave you vulnerable to enemy attacks, so it is best to take it slow and try to master the correct time to dodge. Dodging right before an enemy attack lands will result in a perfect dodge, which will allow you to efficiently counter enemies. Hence, instead of spamming the dodge button, you should always try to dodge right before attacks hit to execute a perfect dodge.

2) Manage your Mana

Unlike your Health and Stamina, Mana in Black Myth Wukong cannot be restored using consumables. One of the few ways to get your Mana back is to rest at a Keeper’s Shrine. However, the world of Black Myth Wukong is filled with enemies, so you will have to face quite a few obstacles while traveling from one Keeper’s Shrine to the next.

Now, it is important to not waste any Mana on enemies that you can defeat without spells. There is always a chance that you’ll have to take on a difficult enemy down the road and not having the Mana to do so is not ideal. So, you must never spam spells and preserve your Mana for stronger opponents.

3) Don’t be afraid to try new Stances

The Destined One has access to three different stances in Black Myth Wukong: Smash, Pillar, and the Thrust Stance. Each Stance will change your varied combos and Heavy Attacks. This will also change the reach and fluidity of your attacks. Now, if you ever hit a roadblock, you can always redistribute your Sparks to try a different stance.

More often than not, changing stances can help you have an easier time against different enemies. If you ever feel like your attacks are not efficient against a particular boss or enemy, try switching things up with a different stance. This might just give you the edge required to win the fight.

The Destined One has plenty of spells in their arsenal to overcome the various enemies in Black Myth Wukong. You can use the Immobilize Spell to freeze an enemy in place, or the Rock Solid spell to protect yourself from most attacks. However, just using your spells to get off damage won’t be enough to overcome everything that Black Myth Wukong has in store for you.

It is important to get creative with how you use your spells. Finding it hard to dodge a certain move? Use Cloud Step to disappear and counter your enemy. Going up against someone with a ton of mobility? Freeze them in place with the Immobilize spell and go to town with your staff. Facing an enemy that’s weak against fire? Use the Red Tides transformation spell to deal fire damage.

There are many similar situations where wise use of your spells can be the difference between life and death.

5) Make full use of your kit
