Duel Challenge in Clash Royale is an active feature in Clan Wars. Players have to make four unique decks, with no repeating cards. The concept for making decks in Clash Royale is simple. Have a troop that can give consistent tower damage, one building for defense, a splash damage card for spawners, a couple of spells for defense and offense, some units that deal air damage, and a troop that can deal with tanks.

The game plan with this deck is to bait out the Log. Use Princess to make the opponent spend their Log. Afterward, launch the Goblin Barrel at the Crown Tower to do some damage. The roles of Goblin Barrel and Princess can be reversed for bait and attack. The Cannon, Knight, and Fire Spirit are for defense and cycling. If possible, Goblin Barrel evolution can also be used.

With this deck, the idea is to use the Graveyard for crown tower damage, with Baby Dragon as support. Tombstone and Valkyrie should be used for defending, it can deal with PEKKA, mini PEKKA, and Inferno dragon. Tornado can be used to redirect enemy troops.

  • Magic Archer (Elixir cost: 4)
  • Royal Ghost (Elixir cost: 3)
  • Electric Wizard (Elixir cost: 4)
  • Bandit (Elixir cost: 3)
  • Battle Ram (Elixir cost: 4)
  • Zap (Elixir cost: 2)
  • Poison (Elixir cost: 4)

The plan for this deck is to rely on PEKKA or Bandit to deal tower damage. PEKKA can also be used defensively, which can be turned into an attack push by putting a Magic Wizard or Wizard behind it. Battle Ram is to be used to distract and re-route the enemy troops. It can also be used to give Crown Tower Damage.

Hog 2.6 is one of the oldest decks in the game. The point is to utilize Hog Rider for Crown Damage. Use cheaper cards like Skeletons, Ice Spirit, Cannon, and Log to defend, and to get to Hog Rider. A defensive strategy with this deck is to distract enemy troops with Ice Golem and attack them with Musketeer.


5) Mega Knight and Hog Rider

  • Mega Kight (Elixir cost: 8)
  • Ram Rider/Hog Rider (Elixir cost: 5/4)
  • Prince/Dark Prince (Elixir cost: 5/4)
  • Zap/Poison (Elixir cost: 4/2)
  • Bats/Minions (Elixir cost: 2/3)
  • Inferno Dragon/Mini PEKKA (Elixir cost: 4)
  • Freeze (Elixir cost: 4)
  • Bomber (Elixir cost: 3)

This deck relies on Ram Rider or Hog Rider to damage Crown Tower. As a strategy, when the picked attacker reaches the Crown Tower, freeze everything around it. Mega Knight can be used for defense and then an attack push. Rest of the units are for supporting and cycling. Bats / Bats evolution /minions can be used for attacking air-borne troops.
