Best team compositions to dominate Samoa in Overwatch 2
5) Roadhog + Reaper + Echo + Brigitte + Kiriko
This squad has the best potential to create chaos during close combat fights and plant fear in the adversary’s mind.
In this composition of Overwatch 2, Roadhog can mitigate tons of damage and help the support players survive. With the help of his Chain Hook, he can pull the opposition towards him, and the whole team can finish off the target.
Additionally, he’s self-sustained due to his ability to heal himself, which proves to be quite effective while the healers aren’t around. In some points like Volcano and Beach, where the sites are open, Roadhog can use his ultimate and push his adversaries out of the map quite easily.
Reaper is the king of any close-range combat situation in Overwatch 2. He uses his Hellfire Shotgun to melt any enemy in his vicinity. As there are a lot of flanking routes available in Samoa, it’ll be easier for him to attack the adversaries suddenly.
While Reaper can annoy enemy backlines, Echo can do his job in the air. He can melt any low-health pool player in the blink of an eye.
Brigitte and Kiriko, on the other hand, are the best support options for this composition. Roadhog and Brigitte can work together to clear any close-range threats, while Kiriko can heal others and cancel any negative effects with her Protection Suzu.
4) Zarya + Junkrat + Genji + Baptiste + Illari
If the team wants to take early control of any control point, then this composition in Overwatch 2 proves to be the best. Zarya plays an essential role in this squad, as she can act as the primary damage provider alongside Junkrat. On the other hand, she can provide Projected Barriers to her teammates to get out of any chaotic situation.
Junkrat and Genji are among the lethal damage dealers in the title. Junkrat players can take higher grounds in control points of Downtown and Beach. His destructive kit allows him to melt any low-health pool targets in close range. His RIP Type can be a nuisance to the enemy team.
The Japanese adventurer Genji is also a crucial pick for this map. His shurikens do enough damage to finish off a target within a nick of time, and his passive allows him to climb walls and get out of any tight situation. After Junkrat deals enough damage, Genji can easily slash through the enemies, securing eliminations.
Baptiste and Illari are the best support choices for this composition. Baptiste can place himself out of enemy sight by ascending to the higher spots, thanks to his Exo Boosts. Illari, on the other hand, can place her Healing Pylon in any of the circular walls in Samoa and can deal damage from the backline.
3) Winston/D.Va + Ashe + Tracer + Moira + Ana
This lineup is for the players who love to implement Dive composition in their gameplay in Overwatch 2.
Winston or D.Va, any one of the Tanks will be the best pick for this map. Since D.Va is quite easy to learn as a Dive tank for newcomers, her pick rate will be way higher than Winston's. However, veteran Tank mains with crucial skills can outplay enemies with their Winston plays.
Both the Tanks have their pros and cons. While D.Va has her Matrix to cancel out any incoming projectiles, Winston can use his shield to protect his teammates.
Regardless of the Hero they are picking, it should follow the basic rules of the Dive playstyle. D.Va or Winston both had to pick one target from the enemy team, and two or three more of their teammates would dive for the target and finish it off.
The fact that Tracer can use her Blink to quickly approach any target makes her a viable choice to play in a Dive Comp. She can sustain herself at times by using her Recall ability.
While Tracer can flank and annoy the enemies through the flanking routes, Ashe may remain in the backline and deal significant damage to the opposition with her Coach gun. Her ultimate B.O.B is one of the powerful ultimates in Contol point map like Samoa.
Ana will act as the primary healer in this composition of Overwatch 2. She can place herself on the higher grounds of Samoa and heal any enemy, especially the Tanks within her line of sight. Her Sleepdarts are pretty lethal to any flanking enemies.
Moira, on the other hand, can dive alongside Tracer and the Tank, providing additional damage to the scene. However, her Healing Orbs have proven their worth in clustered scenarios in such close combat-heavy maps.
2) Reinhardt/Orisa + Soldier:76 + Bastion + Lucio + Lifeweaver
Reinhardt or Orisa will be the best for this brawl lineup for Samoa of Overwatch 2. If some player wants to help teammates rather than take aggressive fights, Reinhardt will be the best option for them. Since he has an enormous shield, he can block any upcoming projectiles.
If some Tank mains want to go aggressive, they should take Orisa since it’ll help them to take both close and long-range fights. After a recent buff on Season 6, Orisa again became an unkillable Tank if he can get immense support from his team’s end.
Furthermore, Bastion and Soldier:76 are the conventional Hitscan damage dealers for this squad of Overwatch 2. While Soldier:76 players can ascend to higher terrain and poke enemies from a long distance, Bastion can remain in the backline and help melt down the shields or the Tank itself.
That said, players can also flank with Soldier:76 and pinch in enemies to create confusion in the minds of enemies since they’ll get annoyed after taking damage from both sides.
Lucio and Lifeweaver are quite unusual picks in control maps for Overwatch 2. However, Lucio will prove himself as an essential asset for the team by using his Crossfade to switch between his heal and speed boost.
He can also use his speed boost to help his team reach the point earlier than their enemies. Lifeweaver can use his Pedal Platform to boost Bastion or Soldier:76 to take control of the crucial spots to create a distraction. On the other hand, he can utilize his ability to pull any out-of-position players to their original spots.
1) Ramattra + Cassidy + Pharah + Mercy + Kiriko
Ramattra has become the meta Tank character over the past couple of seasons. So, he should be the best option to pick due to his versatility for taking fights from any range. His Omnic form has proved to be a nightmare for the opposition team. With the help of his overpowered ultimate, his team can easily conquer a point and take the lead.
Furthermore, Cassidy and Pharah are one of the best damage duos in Overwatch 2 that can create enough nuisance and confusion in the minds of their adversaries. As there are enough flanking routes in Samoa, Cassidy players can easily poke the enemy team from their backline and target their primary healer to give a number advantage to his team.
In control sites like Downtown and Beach, Cassidy will be the most suitable pick due to the presence of higher grounds way beyond some Hero’s line of sight. The more Cassidy players can take the higher spots, the more they’ll guarantee victory for the round.
Pharah can remain airborne and give info to her teammates by having a great overview of the site from an open skyline of Samoa. She can deal chip damage with the help of her rockets and annoy the enemy team. Her ultimate is one of the lethal ultimates in-game that can melt enemies within seconds.
Mercy can damage and heal boost Pharah and Cassidy simultaneously to ensure they put the maximum amount of damage from their side. Kiriko, on the other hand, can heal Ramattra and help others get out of tough situations with her Suzu.
That sums up the best compositions of Overwatch 2 to dominate a map like Samoa.
