5 best team comps for Xiao in Genshin Impact

Xiao is an amazing Anemo DPS unit in Genshin Impact who relies on his Elemental Burst to perform Plunging Attacks to deal damage. Thankfully, there are a lot of characters in the game that can be paired with the last survivor of the Yaksha. That said, he can be a slightly high-investment character since some of his support units, such as Faruzan, require Constellations to unlock their full potential.

At any rate, this article will feature five of Xiao's best teams in Genshin Impact. This will also include some of his best F2P options.

5 best Xiao teams in Genshin Impact

Xiao's team compositions are fairly specific. If players want to get the most out of Xiao, they will require a dedicated 'battery' character most of the time to make sure Xiao always has his Elemental Burst ready to cast. Here is a list of the 5 best teams for Xiao in Genshin Impact for higher damage:

1) Xiao + Xianyun + Faruzan + Furina

This is a Hypercarry team with three of the best supports available to the Vigilant Yaksha in Genshin Impact. Here's the exact role of each unit in the team:

• Xiao: Main DPS
• Xianyun: Healer and damage buffer
• Faruzan: Support
• Furina: Sub-DPS and support

Furina and Xianyun are perfectly compatible with each other since the former drains the entire party's HP and the latter heals everyone. This way, the former can also gain Fanfare stacks faster for more damage buffs. At the same time, Xianyun and Faruzan can also provide significant damage buffs to Xiao, making this team comp his best in the game.

2) Xiao + Jean + Faruzan + Furina

Here's another team for Xiao with three support units. This is a pretty good option for Genshin Impact players who do not have Xianyun. Below is a summary of each unit's role in the party:

• Xiao: Main DPS
• Jean: Healer
• Faruzan: Support
• Furina: Sub-DPS and support

This team works in a pretty similar way as the previous entry, with the only difference being Jean replacing Xianyun. Needless to say, there will be a noticeable DPS loss since the former does not provide a Plunging Attack damage bonus like the latter.

3) Xiao + Xianyun + Faruzan + Bennett

Here's a team you can use if you don't have Furina or plan to use her in another team. Each character's role in the party is as follows:

• Xiao: Main DPS
• Xianyun: Healer and damage buffer
• Faruzan: Support
• Bennett: Support

Since Bennett provides a ton of ATK, using him will significantly increase Xiao's damage. Additionally, Xianyun can heal the entire party easily while also buffing the Yaksha's Plunging Attack DMG. However, the downside of going with this team is that it limits the on-field character's movement to Bennett's circle.

4) Xiao + Jean + Albedo + Zhongli

A Double Geo team comp with Jean, Albedo, and Zhongli is one of the best and most comfortable teams for Xiao in Genshin Impact. Here is what each character is assigned to do:

• Xiao: Main DPS
• Jean: Team Healer
• Zhongli: Will provide a strong shield and shred resistance of enemies
• Albedo: Off-field damage and for Geo resonance

Jean is the main healer in the team. She can also use some of her crowd-control abilities to help Xiao. Additionally, Jean can shred the enemies' Anemo resistance if her C4 is unlocked, which can greatly increase Xiao's damage.

Meanwhile, Albedo will also deal a good amount of Geo damage and unlock Geo resonance with Zhongli, who can shred the enemies' resistance and provide a shield. The only downside to this team is that it is pretty expensive to build with all the characters being 5-star units.

5) Xiao + Faruzan + Sucrose + Bennett

Here's one of the most F2P teams available for Xiao in Genshin Impact with only 4-star support units. Naturally, the team's overall damage output will be less than all the previous entries, but this is still a viable option. Here's what each character does:

• Xiao: Main DPS
• Faruzan: Support
• Sucrose: Battery and crowd control
• Bennett: Support

Bennett is a healer and ATK buffer, while Faruzan will also provide different bonuses. The only thing to note here is that Sucrose's buff won't be useful but she can be a great battery for Xiao in Genshin Impact.
