1) Get all the Golden Seeds

This is possibly the most important tip on this list. Golden Seeds in Elden Ring are used to upgrade the capacity of your flask, which is used to replenish your HP in combat. The enemies in this game can be very unforgiving, so you'll constantly find yourself in need of more healing.
So, getting all the Golden Seeds will allow you to ensure that you're ready to take on all the new challenges in the upcoming Elden Ring DLC.
2) Find the strongest spirit summons
Spirit summons are perhaps your strongest ally in Elden Ring. You can spawn them during battle to have an extra pair of hands to fight against the toughest enemies in this title. However, not all spirit summons are made equal, and some are way stronger than others; these are the ones we want before starting the Elden Ring DLC.
We recommend getting the Black Knife Tiche Ashes and the Mimic Tear Ashes. You will also need to upgrade your spirit summons for maximum effectiveness, so it is best to stock up on Gloveworts in Elden Ring.
3) Make a strong build
Elden Ring DLC Shadow of the Erdtree is supposed to be endgame content. Thus, you must have a fairly strong character before heading into it. There are plenty of sorcery, strength, bleed, and dexterity builds in Elden Ring that you should try out. Even if you don't wish to go for a particular build, it is recommended that you at least get your Vigor up to level 50.
The enemies in the upcoming Elden Ring DLC won't be pulling any punches, and if you want to put up a fight, you'll need a ton of health, so invest in Vigor.
4) Rune Farming
One of the best ways to prepare for the DLC is by hitting up some rune farming spots in Elden Ring. When the DLC arrives, there will undoubtedly be tons of new items for you to find.
Now, you might need to upgrade some of the items you bring along, and that will require runes. Moreover, you might need to level up before the DLC, which also requires runes. Hence, it is recommended to visit some rune farming spots and stack as many runes as you can.
5) Defeat Mohg Lord of Blood
To access content of the Elden Ring DLC, players must defeat Mohg, which is an optional boss. Mohg can be found in Moghwyn Palace which is a secret underground area. You can access this area either by completing Varre's questline or by using the teleporter found in Consecrated Snowfield.
Once you defeat Mohg, you can access the DLC's content and can also get his weapon, which serves as the base for some of the best bleed builds in Elden Ring.
