FragPunk Closed Beta: 5 best weapons for beginners to try
While a lot of innovation went into creating the game, Bad Guitar Studios has ensured that veteran FPS players don't feel alienated by the gunplay.
Many Valorant, CS2, and Call of Duty enthusiasts will find weapons in FragPunk Closed Beta that work similarly to the other famous FPS titles. There are assault rifles, handguns, SMGs, and even shotguns. Let us dive into the list of the best FragPunk weapons for beginners starting with the Cure-All.
1) Cure-All
The Cure-All is the perfect beginner handgun for all FragPunk players. It is balanced, feels light while firing, and is fairly accurate. It is close to Valorant's Classic and CS2's Glock-18, making it easy to handle, and without a very difficult recoil pattern. These qualities contribute to it being a good secondary firearm that is both comfortable and reliable.
2) Smoker
In FragPunk, Blaster, Smoker, and Flasher are utility weapons. The Blaster releases a projectile that erupts like a grenade causing damage while Flasher works similarly but acts as a Flashbang. While both of these are vital to the gameplay, perhaps the Smoker is the most important. It releases a massive cloud of smoke that blocks the enemy's vision.
The overall handling of the weapon is efficient and easy. The skill ceiling is extremely low and it serves as a powerful utility weapon. It's a must-have for any beginner.
3) Mad Dog-S
Third on the list is Mad Dog-S, an SMG that comes with a 25-bullet magazine and is much easier to handle as compared to its counterpart, the Clampdown. Its overall recoil is low it comes equipped with a suppressor.
The Clampdown is also a powerful SMG, however, its recoil is higher than that of the Mad Dog-S which makes it a less ideal option for beginners in FragPunk Closed Beta.

4) Fever
Fever is the only assault rifle in this list. The only other AR FragPunk Closed Beta is known as Discipline. The key difference between the two is the fire rate. Discipline shoots much faster, which also gives it a greater recoil kick. Meanwhile, the Fever has more stable recoil as well as better handling.
If you're a beginner, Fever should be your first choice when it comes to ARs before you can jump on to try the Discipline.
5) Bad Moon-S
The Bad Moon-S is a Marksman Sniper Rifle that comes equipped with a suppressor. It has incredible handling and since it is a sniper rifle, it also has high damage per round. Unlike bolt action snipers, the Bad Moon-S does not require a reload after each fire and its recoil is also very easy for beginners to handle.
In a game that can get as fast-paced as FragPunk, this gun should help get you some quick frags.
These were some of the best weapons you can try in FragPunk Closed Beta if you are a beginner. They are easy to handle, have lower recoil than their counterparts, and will still help you remain effective in the gunfights.
